Do you know how to prepare your CV / Resume?

Do you know how to prepare your CV / Resume?

You've finished college / University and you are now ready to apply for your first role.
You look for jobs both online and in the local papers.
They ask for your CV / Resume.

And you wonder to yourself - OMIGOD, how do I prepare my CV / Resume?

  • I don't have much experience?
  • I don't know what to say?
  • I'm not sure what to write?
  • What is the right things to write?
  • What information is relevant?
  • How long should my CV / Resume be (1 page, 2 pages .. or more)?

These and other questions are typical of people applying for jobs.

The question you need to ask yourself is 'How good is my CV / Resume' and is it 'good enough to get me the job I want'. Its not only the experience that will help you, its also what you say and write down.

For example, if you have experience in waiting tables and you are applying for an Admin role - what do you say? Do you apply for the role?

The correct answer is Yes - you do. You do apply for the role but what you say MUST be specific to the role you are applying. Even though you may believe that waiting tables is not experience for an Admin role, you would be surprised. As long as you have the correct attitude to work you can work anywhere and doing anything you want.

I hope this article helps you in some way and if it does - then I'm glad.
If you need more help - then please feel free to give me a call or drop me an email.

Why is learning to speak English so important!

Why is learning to speak English so important!

There are many reasons why, but I'll just list a few from two different perspectives:

1. Working in an English Speaking Country
  • English speaking countries are usually at the forefront of technology
  • These countries have a system in place which allow you to progress further in your desired career
  • Recognition of abilities is seen and hence you are promoted for working hard quickly
  • Salaries are much higher due to the exchange rate of the USD, GBP or the Euro compared to local currency
  • This in turn allows you to work abroad and help your family here

2. Working in Morocco for example serving English speaking customers
  • If you are in the Hospitality Industry then knowing how to speak to customers is very important
  • It helps you to establishes rapport with your customers
  • This in turn will help you to get positive feedback from customers about you.
  • This will only have a positive effect if your manager then rewards you for your efforts
We can see that English is very important - it can help you get a job, a good job.
Hopefully if your dreams are to go abroad then to work for an International company abroad.
But - English is NOT just about verbs and tenses, what is more important is the ability to be able to speak fluently.

So how do you learn to speak fluently!
You practice, the more you practice the better you become.

This is with anything, if I want to learn French you learn the basics and then live in France for a year or have a French tutor. The former will be much better although more difficult initially but you'll progress faster.

In Morocco, if you can fly to the Uk to practice English on people who speak English then great.
If you cant - then you need someone who speaks English and can help you with your fluency.

BELIEVE in yourself.

It sounds simple but for many people it isn't. To BELIEVE in yourself is the essence of confidence. To have confidence implies you have BELIEF in yourself.
But what does this really MEAN?

There are many thousands of articles and posters on 'BELIEVING in yourself', however the large majority don't give you a system that's put in place to help you. They all talk or show you about realising your dreams, and if you don't take action then nothing will happen.

Go ahead, open up Google Images and type ' BELIEVE in yourself' and see all the positive images. They are all great, all positive messages designed to help you see the positive BUT whilst all the messages are true, you don't leave reading the article or seeing the poster BELIEVING in yourself.

You are still the same.
You haven't changed and so you DON'T BELIEVE and so for me this system don't work.

I have developed a Simple 3 Part System that helps you to understand what it means to really BELIEVE in yourself. Once you have gone through the system over a period of time you will see that you have changed. This change has come through a BELIEF system that we use tailor made just for you.

Remember, everyone is different, I am very different to you just as you are very different from your friends. And so generic articles / posters don't work - you need a system that is tailor made, designed just for you.

If your interested in this article or want to know more - please do give me a call and we can discuss further. +212 604 39 2125
